The ex Rob Peckett, ex Rob Whitwell MG B GT V8 is set to rejoin MG Racing next month at the Winton Festival of Speed.
The car was purchased last year by Ben Muller, long time friend and mechanic on Richard Milligan’s cars including the B V8 Roadster, Muller had his eye on a V8 and ultimately a deal to purchase the Whitwell car put him on the right path.
The car has undergone a number of updates and changes to suit Ben since the purchase and Muller will line up for his OLT at Sandown prior to the Winton Festival of Speed debut in what will be a field of 6 open V8’s.
The car has a somewhat illustrious history, built by well known sportscar experts K&A Engineering in South Australia the car was run by Rob Peckett from Adelaide against Mort Fitzgerald, Robin Bailey, Paul Trevethan and Andrew McDowell for a number of years before being purchased by Rob Whitwell who upgraded from a Group Sb MG B Roadster in the mid 2000’s. Some 10 years later Whitwell is heading back to the historic field in a Tiga SC2000 and the car was put on the market. Ben Muller subsequently purchasing it in 2017.
It will be a great addition to the field going forward and we welcome Ben into the series!
