Phil Chester will be absent from Round 2 of the 2022 season, after leading the series after the opening round he has elected to participate in a charity postie bike ride which clashes with Winton.
Chester explained it hasn’t slowed his passion for the rest of the year, “look I signed up for this two years ago and then Covid delayed it, unfortunately the rescheduled date clashes so I will be watching on Blendline” he explained. Chester is committed from Round 3 onwards, “100% I am at Phillip Island and really looking forward to Sydney, I need to catch Robin and make up for the point sgap now!” he laughed when explaining the rest of the year.
The season will be back underway for Chester at Round 3 at Phillip Island, a circuit he has a lap time to chase, “I haven’t quite done the time I have wanted but the car is as good as ever and on the money so I am really keen to get there and see if I can do a PB, it’s up to me to do it”.
