Winton FOS has been run and by all accounts it was a terrific weekend for historic racing.
MG & IBS had 25 race cars and drivers entered for the meeting, we should have called our category MG and IBS Nationals as there were drivers and cars from Vic, NSW, SA, Qld and the ACT.
Damien Myer blitzed the field in his very fast MG Midget winning all 3 races, Phil Chester in the MGBGT V8 had the power on the straight bits but had to contend with 2nd place as the Midget was on rails on the twisty parts, Mike Trathen in his MG Midget was 3rd for the weekend.
Phil Chester now leads the MG & IBS points score, followed by Jason Edwards and Mike Trathen.

The next race meeting is the VSCRS event at PI on the 3rd – 5th Oct. Looking for another good grid of MG & IBS for that weekend.
Our final race meeting for 2026, Round 6 is the VHRR Sandown Historics 7th – 9th November. Entries are now open for the event.
