Gary Bulmer was the star that flew under the radar at Winton, debuting his latest acquisition the MG B Roadster previously run by Rhys Howell. The car ran faultlessly all weekend with Bulmer claiming a 3rd overall in the final race
Early casualty Rodney Gibb impressed on Friday, and the potential of the ZT V8 is clear when time he can get the car sorted. Some minor engine issues prevented him completing the weekend but he is already set for Round 3 at Phillip Island.
Vince Gucciardo clean swept the weekend with pole and 3x wins, Gucciardo missed round 1 with a family issue and is on the war path back into contention
Blend Line TV once again live streamed the weekend which is available to watch anytime on Facebook or Youtube. The live stream is planned to continue throughout 2021 for the Victorian State Rounds.
Gateway Hotel Wangaratta were round sponsors for Winton, and a total of 20 people used their facilities which is a great way to give back to the trophy sponsors.
David Baigent attended from Sydney in his historic log booked MG Midget, after a strong weekend he plans to head down to Phillip Island as well in May. David also took out the classic four cylinder class for the weekend and really enjoyed the camaraderie
Bruce Astbury had a breakout result running in the top 6 most of the weekend in the Jayco MG TF LE500. Astbury has been getting to grips with the technical side and is confident he has turned a corner in his driving with the car
